About
Remote Theater Project (RTP) in partnership with Creative Portland, Mayo Street Arts (MSA), The Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center (GPIWC), and Portland Ovations presents A MESSAGE FROM FAR AWAY, an interaction with Good Chance Theatre’s The Walk – a traveling festival of art and hope in support of refugees. At the heart of The Walk is ‘Little Amal’, a 12-foot-tall puppet of a young refugee girl, created by the acclaimed Handspring Puppet Company. Representing all displaced children, many separated from their families, Little Amal will travel over 8,000km embodying the urgent message “Don’t forget about us.”
